Stolichnaya was opened in 1901 by the authorities to ensure higher quality vodka production. Stolichnaya is a leading brand in vodka production in both Russia and Latvia. Fondly known as "Stoli", this company's name comes from the Russian work "Stolitsa", meaning "capital city", and the Cryllic label that depicts Moscow's Famous Moscova Hotel. They have their origins the Moscow State Wine Warehouse No. 1 and are the first brand to sell flavored and super-premium vodkas in America. With different types of vodka, this company had made a name for itself in the Vodka business.
Challenge
Stoli has served the vodka market since it’s rising to prominence by adhering to the highest standards of quality and purity. The bottle did not have enough shelf presence in the competitive high end spirits category as it easily absorbs heat and can no longer be kept cold while sitting as a display in a bar.
Solution
The Botlle to be displayed in a bar needs to maintain its coolness so that it doesn’t need to be chilled again for use. In order to tackle this challenge, Netpack with the production team of Stolichnaya evaluated the requirements for this project. Netpack recommended the use of a countertop ice block so as to keep the bottle chilled. Out of injected molded plastic, this countertop ice block was created and was compatible to sit in the bottle as well as to be easily displayed comfortably in a bar. Also, in order to freeze the counter display, Netpack used proprietary gel material inside the plastic block. This allowed the liquor bottle to remain cold while sitting on a counter or bar display.
Stolichnaya said that Netpack delivered a complete package that included a reliable supply of consistently high-quality product, along with technical support and advice. They also gave a fast response to any issues.”
Consumers have taken notice of the contemporary packaging for Stolichnaya Vodka and like what they see. The final product Stolichnaya recieved had a strong artisan look that proudly displayed the brand’s heritage.
