Hollister is an American lifestyle brand owned by Abercrombie & Fitch Co. The concept was originally designed to attract consumers aged 14–18, through its Southern California inspired image and casual wear. Hollister released its signature fragrance Hollister Co. for women and men with the vision that the unique lifestyle of their products can be felt through the energy of their in-store experience.
Challenge
Extending their Hollister body care line Interparfums decided to create a new line consisting of Body Mists. They wanted their new product line to have labels printed on a substrate that can adhere to a tapered bottle and cap. In addition, the label will color match with the product and the offset printed packaging boxes. Netpack would create a one piece safety seal. To accomplish this task they turned to Netpack creative Design team for both the creative approach and the technical solution.
Solution
There were a number of obstacles that had to be overcome in order to help Hollister meet their objective. Their products based on its fragrance required labeling material with flexible qualities. The experienced designers and technicians at Netpack consulted with the company to better understand their goals, then worked with them to develop a flexible packaging solution that satisfied their needs.
According to the client, the new labels met with all the requirements needed. The look of luxury offered tremendous tactile appeal and really stood out on the shelf. Not only did the labels look great, they did not bend or curl on the bottle and cap as they tapered to the bottle only. Their superior long-term performance had maintained the integrity of the brand, during the filling process. Netpack researched other materials that could be used on Plastic Squeeze bottles. This was important as the material properties of the container and the viscosity of the liquid inside could distort the text on the label.
Netpack also was able to achieve the desired colors using state of the art prepress equipment as requested by the client. The end result was a finished product that matched already preprinted Boxes supplied by the customer. The stylish, clear overcap completes the family look for an eye-catching premium presentation on-shelf.
The client appreciated that they had more control over the process. Interparfums had confidence that Netpack was going to find the solution for their company, and that’s what Netpack's mission is all about; building trust and relationships with our clients by delivering on their expectations.
